Mr. Yousef Abdullah Al-Yateem
Deputy Chairman of KIPIC’s Board Member
Mr. Yousef Abdullah Al Yateem is currently the Deputy Chairman of KIPIC’s Board Member.
He has a career spanning more than 40 years in K companies. He started his career in KNPC and then worked in numerous positions in KNPC, KPC and KPI
Mr. Yousef Abdullah Al Yateem has graduated from University of Toledo at Ohio USA. He was appointed as the Executive Vice President of KPI and previously held membership to the Board of KNPC, KUFPEC, ARUBA, KOTC, PIC AND KNPC till 2011 and Managing Director for KPC(WH), PRS and GALLUS
Mr. Shukri Abdulaziz Al-Mahrous
Chairman of KIPIC’s Board of Directors
Mr. Shukri Abdul Aziz Al-Mahrous is currently appointed as Chairman of KIPIC’s Board of Directors appointed in October 2023, is a Mechanical Engineer from Fairleigh Dickinson University, with 29 years of experience in KNPC, a world leading international Oil Refining and Gas processing company. In June 2013 he was promoted to Deputy CEO Planning & Local Marketing and in March 2017, re-designated as Deputy CEO Planning & Finance entrusted with leading 4 departments namely: Corporate Planning, Finance, Manufacturing Optimization Group & Research & Technology. The responsibility of this directorate extended to Business Development, Financing for Clean Fuels Project, Strategic Planning, Production Planning & Optimization for the Refineries & Gas Plant, Projects Planning, Performance Analysis, Corporate Treasury, Consolidation & Management Accounting, Innovation and Technology developments for improvement in refinery performance.
He was also appointed as Head of Negotiation Team for Financing KNPC Projects and concluded landmark loan transaction of 6.245 billion $ from export credit agencies and International Banks as well as 1.2 billion KD loan from Local Banks for KNPC’s Clean Fuels Project. Prior experience included Supply of Local Marketing with petroleum products and support the various transformation initiatives that KNPC is undertaken, Project Coordination, Asset Based Reliability Management and Corporate Transformation
He has previously served as Chairman of Board of Director – Kuwait Aviation Fuelling Company- KAFCO and various other leading Oil and Gas companies of Kuwait as Board member.
Mr. Shujaa Salem Al-Ajmi
Board Member
Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi is currently appointed as Board Member of Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) on 10th October 2023.
Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi has graduated in Chemical Engineering from Kuwait University in 1996 and joined Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) on 29th March 1997. He gained rich experience in various fields connected with Refinery Operations. He is best known for his leadership in the field of operations, restoration, and commissioning of refinery facilities.
Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi was appointed as Manager Operations on 13th December 2015 in KNPC Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery. As Manager, Operations he has contributed immensely to the better working of the Oil sector in general and KNPC in particular. He was appointed as Manager of Clean Fuel Project (CFP) in Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery on 16th April 2017. In his leadership, all new units in CFP were commissioned on time.
On 13th July 2020, Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi was transferred to Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) as Manager, Operations Al-Zour Refinery, which was under commissioning stage.
On 22nd June 2021, Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of KNPC Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, having a capacity of about 346 MBPD, including Gas Plant. He headed the overall corporate responsibilities for coordination of Maintenance and Quality Assurance functions for the company, in addition to effective running of MAA Refinery business.
Mr. Shujaa Al-Ajmi was appointed as Board Member of Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI / Aruba) on 8th July 2021 and continued until 08th October 2023.
Mrs. Shaima Marzouq Al-Ghunaim
Board Member
Mrs. Shaima Marzouq Al-Ghunaim is appointed as KIPIC’s board member in October 2023. With a degree in Petroleum Engineering, she started her career as Petroleum Engineer in Kuwait Oil Company in 1996 and worked extensively in Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in various positions, starting as Analyst and then getting promoted as Manager Strategic planning progressing. She got promoted to the position of Deputy Managing Director Planning in 2016.
She completed her education in Kuwait University and graduated as BSC in Petroleum Engineering (honours)
Mr. Qusai Nasser Al-Amer
Board Member
Mr. Qusai Nasser Al-Amer has been currently appointed as member of Board of Directors Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) in October 2023 and also currently serving as Deputy CEO (Administration and Finance) at KOC since May 2019. He has held several leading positions in Kuwait Oil Company since 1990.
In his current position, he provides leadership across functions such as Human Resources, Training & Career Development, Financial Services and Medical, including a workforce of over 2000 employees.
He is also member of Board of Directors in Kuwait Praxylene Production Company. Additional, member of different committees in oil Sector: Work Relations Committee and2040 Finance Strategic Plan.
He has a degree in B.Sc. Statistics from Kuwait University.
Feras Abdulhadi Al-Awwad
Board member
Mr.Feras Alawwad is recently appointed as Board Member in Kuwait Integrated Petroleum industries Company “KIPIC” and as the Deputy CEO for Projects and Business Development
at Petrochemical Industries Company “PIC” a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation “KPC”.
Mr. Alawwad holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, USA, 1996. He joined PIC in 1997 as a fresh graduate where he started his career in Operations & later moved to Projects Department as a Project Engineer working on several of PIC’s revamp/grass root project including Fertilizer plants modernization, and execution of a world scale Aromatics Project in Kuwait.
Upon commissioning and completion of the Aromatics Project, Mr. Alawwad returned to the business side where he continued to work on the optimization and development of the business-related projects and acquisitions and was later assigned the responsibility of Business Development at PIC; leading the efforts to identify, assess and conduct several feasibilities and due diligence activities on projects and acquisitions for PIC. Lately Mr. Alawwad has been assigned duty of Deputy CEO for Projects & Business Development Sector, whereby he leads business. related activities, Mega Projects & R&D activities.
In his career Mr. AlAwwad served as a director on several boards, including, The Kuwait Styrene company “TKSC”, SK PICGLOBAL & Ulsan PP (UPP)” in South Korea
His broad expertise in various petrochemical projects and business positions contributes to value creation at PIC, PIC subsidiaries and other K-Companies.
